With over 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Larissa is dedicated to quality and enhancing patient quality of life.
Originally from a small town in Brazil, Larissa earned her Bachelor of Pharmacy at Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora in Brazil. She later received a scholarship to attend the University of Sydney, where she was awarded her PhD in gene therapy. After completing her studies, Larissa has focused on pharmaceutical research and development, and joined Slade Health in 2021.
Larissa played a key role in establishing a state-of-the-art in-house specialist drug stability testing and research laboratory at our Mt Kuring-gai facility in Sydney. She contributed to designing the lab layout, developing processes and procedures, and building a team to manage stability studies and validation.
As General Manager – Operations and Quality, Larissa oversees operations and quality compliance of Slade’s five TGA licensed sterile compounding facilities across Australia and New Zealand. Her responsibilities include managing facility builds, improving the electronic quality management system, and ensuring successful TGA audits. She maintains compliance with GMP manufacturing licenses, oversees all-site quality systems functions, and leads the Slade Health extended stability program.
