April saw the first order of antibiotic compounding processed at our GMP licensed compounding facility in Auckland, New Zealand.

These antibiotic orders mark another significant milestone for our busy Auckland team, only six months after compounding the very first Slade Health chemotherapy dose.

Our Auckland facility is part of a shared commitment to world-class sterile manufacturing for New Zealand’s hospitals and patients. The facility provides care to public and private hospitals and delivers chemotherapy, antibiotics, and analgesics for Te Whatu Ora | Te Toka Tumai Auckland, who treat 40% of the country’s patients.

Slade Health electric vans are hitting the road, delivering our compounded products to patients in Australia and New Zealand.

Committed to responsible manufacturing, Slade Health is creating greater efficiencies across our five compounding facilities that support our service to patients and the environment. The new electric vans combined with our sustainable procurement, recycling initiatives, and reusing packaging to reduce landfill waste, are the next step in our growing sustainability initiatives.

We are continually reviewing how we operate and exploring new initiatives that minimise our environmental impact including better ways to manage energy and water, reducing transportation, and further reducing paper waste.

First starting at Icon as a compounding technician in 2005, Andrea has worked across the Group and Slade Health for over 18 years. Andrea is now an integral team member of the procurement team. Daily Andrea monitors stock levels for all our Australian and New Zealand sites and updates the ordering system.
