Woodville celebrates three months of operation

With February marking three months of operation, our Woodville team of 50 – comprised of pharmacists, technicians, logistics and administration employees – has produced and dispatched approximately 250 essential infusions each day. The team has compounded 14,514 oncology, clinical trial and antibiotic units and made 1,300 deliveries to our hospital partners.

Our Mount Waverley Production Technicians, Paul Jaworski, Damon Lu and Hannah Pearlman, recently joined our Key Account Manager, Alex Vasserman, and Slade Pharmacy Manager, Annette Hong, at South Eastern Private Hospital to tour the chemotherapy unit and Slade Pharmacy.

The team met with our hospital partners and were able to see firsthand the impact of the products they produce. Experiences like this provide our team members with insights into how frontline teams deliver care, how the products they make are used in treatment and the direct impact their work has on patients.

New Surefuser™+ device to support delivery of high viscosity medications

Nipro has introduced a new one-day 240ml Surefuser™+ which delivers a range of high viscosity antibiotics at a flow rate of approximately 10ml per hour. The new Surefuser™+ will be our default device for delivery of antibiotics over 24 hours (excluding PipTaz >54mg/mL).

On 11 February, we celebrated International Day of Women and Girls in Science (IDWGS) – recognising the exceptional work of women in science who endlessly push for innovation.
