Slade Health completes Charm Evolution® integration across Victorian public hospital network

Slade Health is pleased to announce the successful completion of Charm Evolution® integration across all public hospital sites in Victoria, marking a major milestone in our journey toward a fully digital, paperless ordering system.

This achievement positions Victoria as the second Australian state, alongside Queensland, to adopt a digital ordering solution for hospital pharmacy services.

The latest addition to the network, the Gippsland Health Alliance, which includes Latrobe Regional Health, Central Gippsland Health Service, Bairnsdale Regional Health, West Gippsland Health Service, and Bass Coast Health, is now fully live on Slade’s integration engine.

On its first day of operation, over 150 items were seamlessly ordered through the Charm Evolution® system, eliminating the need for manual data entry and streamlining operations for the team at our Mt Waverley site in Victoria.

Enhanced efficiency and real-time insights

The integration engine connects the Magentus Charm Evolution® EMR system directly with Slade Health’s bespoke compounding software, ensuring a secure, automated flow of information.

Hospital pharmacists can now experience:

  • Improved operational efficiency by eliminating the need for faxes and emails
  • Real-time visibility into the status of orders, updates, and cancellations
  • Reduced risk of errors with automated data transfers
  • Time savings for both hospital and compounding teams

Pharmacists using the Charm Evolution® integration have reported significant workflow improvements and enhanced accuracy in their operations, enabling them to focus more on patient care.
