Maninder (Mazz) has been with Slade Health for nearly 10 years. He began as a retail pharmacist at Slade Pharmacy in Richmond, Victoria, and when an opportunity came up in the compounding division, Mazz jumped at the opportunity to broaden his skills.
What are your day-to-day responsibilities as Senior Medical Affairs Associate at Slade Health?
As the Senior Medical Affairs Associate, me and my team help provide stability and technical support for our compounded products. As part of the Quality team, we lead projects aimed at enhancing our internal processes and systems, continuously striving for improvement.
What do you enjoy most about your week?
The most enjoyable part of my week is the unpredictability! Each day brings new challenges and opportunities, making my role both exciting and fulfilling. I take great satisfaction in helping our internal teams, hospital partners and customers, serving as a subject matter expert and supporting with queries. Being able to contribute to the success of others while continuously expanding my own knowledge is immensely rewarding.
How long have you worked at Icon Group and Slade Health?
I have been with Slade Health for nearly 10 years. I began my journey as a retail pharmacist at Slade Pharmacy in Richmond, Victoria. I then transitioned into the role of clinical pharmacist within Slade Pharmacy. An opportunity came up in the compounding division at Slade Health as a releasing pharmacist in Mount Waverly, and I jumped at the opportunity. In 2016, I moved to Sydney, where I currently work at Mount Kuring-gai.
How do you improve patient outcomes?
I am actively involved in projects aimed at improving patient outcomes and optimising processes within production and quality. I also focus on extending the stability of our short shelf-life products. By doing this, we aim to support hospitals in effectively managing patient treatments while reducing medical wastage. These initiatives are geared towards enhancing patient care and maximising the efficiency of our healthcare systems.
How has your career grown since joining Slade?
Since joining Slade Health, my career has experienced significant growth and development. I have had the opportunity to expand my knowledge and skills in various areas, thanks to the wide scope of work and responsibilities in my position. Working at Slade Health has provided me with valuable exposure to the industry, allowing me to stay at the forefront of my field. I have also been fortunate enough to take on increased responsibilities and leadership roles within the organisation which has allowed me to demonstrate my capabilities and contribute to the company’s growth and success.
What’s next for you?
I am eager to continue growing and evolving at Slade Health. My focus is on enhancing my leadership skills, building a strong and collaborative team, and staying up to date with the latest developments in stability and compounding. I aim to make a significant impact by delivering exceptional services, and contributing to growth and innovation at Slade Health.
